Heidi Klum just anthem a proud-mom milestone, her youngest daughter, Lou, has officially turned 16.
The America’s Got Talent judge and supermodel marked the special day with a sweet Instagram tribute filled with snapshots and video clips of her family through the years. “Lou my beautiful sunshine. Happy 16th Birthday,” the 52-year-old wrote on Thursday, Oct. 9. “I love you with my whole heart.”
Lou is the youngest of Heidi’s four children, she’s also mom to Johan, 18, Henry, 20, and Leni, 21, all of whom she shares with ex-husband Seal. Today, the family’s dynamic includes Klum’s husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, who’s embraced life as what the model fondly calls an “extra dad” to the whole crew.

Though Heidi is known for her larger-than-life Halloween bashes and famously over-the-best costumes, she once revealed that only one of her kids inherited that spooky-season spirit. “I was hoping that I would pass this on even to my kids, but out of four, there’s only one that really is going for it and that’s Lou,” Heidi told People Magazine in 2021. She recalled that Lou once went all out as an anime character, complete with “full-on makeup, the hair, all the accessories.”
Just a few weeks before Lou’s birthday, the family made a rare public appearance in Germany, turning heads at an Oktoberfest-themed celebration hosted by Heidi in Munich. The model stunned in a traditional red-and-white dirndl with a flower crown and a necklace reading “Tom.” Kaulitz, 36, and the boys sported classic lederhosen, while Leni and Lou rounded out the picture-perfect moment in traditional Bavarian-inspired looks.
Even with her glamorous career, the mother-of-four has never shied away from speaking candidly about motherhood, especially the mix of joy and worry that comes with raising kids.
“When they’re young, you’re worried they’re going to jump in the pool or stick their finger in a socket,” she told People Magazine this summer. “Then they’re driving. Then it’s sex, drugs and rock and roll. You hope the seed you planted in them grows. That they’re good people. That they’re healthy. But you always worry. And I know I’ll still be worrying when I’m 80.”
