Kendrick Lamar snatched the Hip Hop world’s attention with the surprise release of his new album To Pimp A Butterfly earlier this week, earning himself a new single-day Spotify streaming record andwidespread critical acclaim.
Meanwhile, Lil Wayne and Birdman’s rift continues as the Carter rapper took some shots at his label-head during a cypher and his daughter made her thoughts on Young Thug’s new Carter 6 project very clear.

“Finally back in the studio… starting my day by listening to Kendrick’s new album!!!  Thank you for the music and messaging!!!” Kanye West wrote on Twitter.

Fetty Wap On How He Lost His Eye

Revealing the anti-climactic story behind the loss of his left eye, New Jersey rapper Fetty Wapfinally told the media about the accident that caused the issue.
“I tell everybody it’s nothing, because it’s really nothing to me,” he said. “What happened is, when I was little I had gotten into a little accident and it gave me congenital glaucoma in both of my eyes. The doctor saved one, I was blessed to still have my vision. That’s it. That’s the story.”
During the interview Fetty also admitted to letting rumors about his being shot in the eye build given the buzz it offered.
