Sunday kicks off a stretch of hotter weather across the region, with sunshine pushing highs into the upper 80s along the coast low 90s inland spots. Humidity will pick up a bit, but it will still be far from sticky 70 degree dewpoints.

This warm up will set us up for (if not kick off for inland spots) the next run of summer heat through Wednesday. The hottest spots will see heat indices in the mid 90s.

Monday and Tuesday look especially warm, and while the humidity won’t be as extreme as earlier this summer, it will still feel toasty during the afternoons. For Boston, we’ll be taking a swing at our third heat wave of the summer.

By Thursday, a cold front will approach, bringing the chance for a few showers or thunderstorms late Wednesday to early Thursday. This cold front will pull temps back down to the 80s. Highs will still be near 90 on Thursday before cooler air arrives Friday, dropping temperatures into the low 80s for the weekend.
Aside from the late week rain chances, much of the upcoming week looks dry, giving us plenty of sunny days before the pattern turns more comfortable heading into next weekend.
