How the Grinch Stole Christmas co-stars Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen have reunited on the red carpet for the first time in 25 years.
Carrey and Momsen reunited in the press room during the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Los Angeles on November 8.
The co-stars hadn’t seen each other in 25 years.
Momsen was just five years old when she stepped into the iconic role of Cindy-Lou Who in 2000.
Carrey was 38 when he took on the role of the Christmas-despising Dr Seuss character, the Grinch.
During their reunion, the actress told People that she had fond memories of the actor looking out for her.
“I just love that he was very protective of me,” she said.

“He was always very kind. And just the entire experience of filming Grinch and getting to know him so well, even in all the makeup, was just wonderful.”
She confessed she was excited to tell the actor how pivotal he was to her life today that she’s grown up.
“As a young person watching an musician at work and taking their craft so seriously, that left a really powerful, lasting impact on me as an adult today.”
The actress and singer, who also starred in Gossip shorty, recently admitted on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she didn’t know what Carrey looked like under the special effects makeup, green face paint and fur.

“He was always Jim and he was always in makeup. He was very protective of me, very kind, super funny, super animated, absolutely awesome,” she told host Alex Cooper.
“I didn’t know who Jim was until the premiere and someone had to point him out to me and go, ‘That’s Jim,’ ” she added. “And I went, ‘Oh, Jim’.”
Carrey has previously talked about his time on set, explaining that he had to undergo torture training from the CIA to handle being trapped underneath the special effects.
