Director Jason Reitman has exited the television adaptation of Jennette McCurdy’s I’m Glad My Mom Died on the eve of production due to creative differences with McCurdy, who is the showrunner alongside Ari Katcher. Apparently Reitman was going more comedic than McCurdy wanted, and the two had a tense exchange that a source called “disrespectful” to Reitman.
Due to star Jennifer Aniston’s schedule, Apple is only giving the show about two weeks to find a replacement or the project is getting shelved indefinitely.
