J.K. Rowling appears to be shading former Harry Potter star Emma Watson in a post on Twitter / X.
On Friday morning (September 26), the author shared a video of a British satirist making a parody of the 35-year-old actress’s recent comments from the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast in which she seemed to be extending an olive branch to the author by saying she still “treasured” her despite their differing views on trans rights.

J.K. quoted the post to share it on her page, writing, “I’m here for ALL the spoofs🤣.”
The day before sharing the parody the 60-year-old writer also quoted one of her old tweets taking aim at stars (including Paapa Essiedu who will play Snape in the new Harry Potter TV series) who had signed a pro-trans rights letter, writing that “nobody sane believes, or has ever believed, that humans can change sex.”
In her updated quote of that tweet, J.K. said, “A little reminder for anyone who may be regretting their very public sprint to the front of the mob and is immediately trying to discreetly shove their pitchfork out of sight,” which could be taken as a dig at Emma‘s recent remarks.
