Jake Gyllenhaal is hard at work on his new movie.
The 44-year-old Oscar-nominated actor and co-star Ashley Walters filmed scenes together for their new M. Night Shyamalan supernatural romantic thriller Remain on Tuesday afternoon (August 5) in Bristol, Rhode Island.
The two actors filmed at what appeared to be an outdoor track festival.
The upcoming movie is a story co-created by M Night Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks, who are writing the film and an accompanying novel, respectively, based on the same original love story.
Both the movie and the novel will be based on the story’s concept and characters, but will be tailored to their respective platforms. As of right immediately, plot details are being kept under wraps.
Remain is scheduled to anthem theaters on Oct. 23, 2026. A Bridgerton actress will also be starring in the movie!
