Jeezy struck a major release- something that everyone has been talking about well beyond the track scene. The Great Atlanta Rap Legend, celebrating 20 years of his breakthrough album “The Inspiration,” sat down with Bloomberg to talk about his new ventures: an energy drink called Edges, and a capsule collection with Eastside Golf. Fans are loving this new beau.

They broke down his recent moves in the interview: This Edges is not another energy drink. It is nonalcoholic, low in sugar, and can be drunk alone or with spirits. “It’s refreshing,” he said. “You don’t feel like you just drank an energy drink. This is something you could sip on a Saturday evening hanging at the crib.” The drink is to be released this September, hitting the shelves and nightclubs in partnership with Eagle Rock and Heuser Bush, and the emphasis was placed by Jeezy, that the healthfulness of the drink was paramount to him, engorged with his slogan of preaching a healthy lifestyle.
But that would not be it! Finally, for golf, he will be doing a collaboration with Eastside Golf which is Black-owned and merely “making golf cool” and building golf culture in his words. “We want to look good while we’re out there having fun,” he said. The collection will again feature the snowman logo; this time, however, the snowman will be golfing. According to his words, Jeezy picked up this sport three years ago and regarded golf as a lifestyle that brings one peace along with tranquility and business opportunities, which is “an investment in yourself, your peace of mind, your health.” He began talking about accessibility, noting public courses and rental clubs as some efforts to get more people involved in golf. And through Street Dreams, he’s going to be working on programs to help young Black kids get involved in golf in Atlanta.
This interview was not just some product placements. He talked about his image and work ethic, referencing a viral moment earlier this year when he inspired an Uber driver to drive him for 10 hours from D.C. to Baltimore for a concert after a botched flight. “By any means, I was gonna make it to that show, man,” he stated. “I don’t look at it as a job—I look at it as leadership.” His sentiment remains: standing true to yourself and not letting yourself be pressured into somebody else’s way. “I just walk with integrity,” Jeezy said. “I’m not perfect by far, but I am who I am.”
Love and pride poured into the comments of the fans. One said, “At my first Jeezy concert you gave a lecture at the end that was diabolical 🔥had tears in our eyes (the drinks didn’t help lol) 🙌always an inspiration.” Another commented: “Go baby!!! Proud of youuu 🔥❤️❤️” Both statements captured the collective opinion of the crowd. The very Bloomberg segment was called out when a fan exclaimed, “😳 ‘Your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper.’ on a @bloomberg intro is WHOA!” This remark gives a sense of how far his influence stretches from hip-hop into the realms of business and culture.
This guy is clearly not resting anytime soon. That energy drink, the golf line; then doing a big touring; then the giving back to the community-that’s about everything that he’s ever rapped about: An entrepreneur. After gaining that reputation for two decades, every single show still feels like his first. That consistency, paired with a fresh dose of entrepreneurship, answers why he’s still an icon of rap and a blueprint for building a lasting legacy in conjunction with track.
