Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson‘s psychodrama Die My Love zones in on new parenthood – it looks both heart-breaking and gorgeously filmed, and we can’t wait to see it. A trailer has just dropped, giving us a taster of what’s to come.
Alongside Lawrence and Pattinson, we know that Sissy Spacek, Nick Nolte and LaKeith Stanfield will also star.
The film is set to follow a woman’s experience of isolation and struggles with new motherhood. Set in rural Montana in the US, we see her grapple with her new identity while her husband (Pattinson) goes off for work.
Jennifer has opened up about her experiences of filming the movie, especially after becoming a mother herself. She welcomed her first child with her partner Cooke Maroney in February 2022, and gave birth to a second child in early 2025.
“As a mother, it was really hard to separate what I would do as opposed to what she would do. And it was just heartbreaking.” she said at a Cannes Film Festival press conference, where the film first premiered. She added that her own experiences of becoming a mother has made her a better actor. “Having children changes everything, it changes your whole life, it’s brutal and incredible. Not only do they go into every decision of if I’m working, where, when – I didn’t know that I could feel so much,” she said.
“My job has a lot to do with emotion … and they’ve changed me creatively. I highly recommend having kids if you want to be an actor.”

She added that herself and Pattinson filmed a nude scene on the first day of filming, which was the hardest day on set for her. “The day before our first day, [director] Lynne [Ramsay] showed Rob and I a scene from If…. It was these actors, and they’re attacking each other like tigers.”
