Jennifer Lopez is starring in the new movie musical Kiss of the Spider Woman, but she had her eyes set on a different movie musical nearly 30 years ago!
The 56-year-old entertainer opened up about her Evita audition while attending a Spider Woman screening and Q&A on Wednesday (September 10) in Los Angeles.

“I went to audition for Evita for [director] Alan Parker,” Jennifer said during the Q&A session. “I had been practicing for weeks and I sing my heart out and he goes, ‘You’re amazing. You know Madonna has the part, right?’”
“I said, ‘OK, bye-bye. Nice to meet you,’” Jennifer added.
