Former Bachelor Joey Graziadei and fiancée Kelsey Anderson are still finalizing some wedding details before they say “I do.”
“Right today we are in the works of figuring out a venue, but it’s TBD location,” Kelsey, 27, exclusively told Us Weekly while kicking off New York Fashion Week at the Raising Cane’s runway event at The Standard High Line. “I feel like we’re not gonna announce that because I keep saying places that we’re gonna get married, and then people go with it, and then I’m like, ‘Oh, wait, we’re not doing that anymore.’”
She continued, “So, TBD. Once we lock something in, we’ll let people know more. But we’re in the early stages of planning, and it’s super exciting.”
Bachelor Nation met Joey, today 30, when he vied for the affections of Charity Lawson on The Bachelorette season 20. After ending as runner-up, Joey was crowned the next lead of The Bachelor — where he met and popped the question to Kelsey.
While the pair quickly took the next step in their relationship on the show, Joey and Kelsey have their sights set on a long engagement.
“Our thought process has always been, we wanted to enjoy the engagement,” Joey shared on an April episode of Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd’s Cozy in the Closet series. “We didn’t want to rush anything, because as you know, The Bachelor is a very, very quick timeline, and we’re gonna have a two-to-three-year engagement to make sure that we are seeing everything through and learning as much about each other before we take that next step.”
Despite the couple taking things slow, Joey confirmed that he and Kelsey have met with a wedding planner to think about their special day.
“That’s the next big step that we are focusing on,” he said. “We’re starting to kind of nail down when we want to, you know, figure out a date, where we actually want to have our wedding and then we both said that we wanted to at least enjoy marriage a little bit before we have kids. Life changes, things always change up, but we want to have kids, we want to start a family.”
When it comes to what their wedding day may look like, Kelsey shared that she hopes the ceremony and reception are a reflection of both her and Joey.
“I definitely want our wedding to be pretty timeless. I want it to be able, in 30 or 40 years, to look like it could be done then,” she said during a May interview with SI Swimsuit before adding, “I know a lot of times the guys kind of let the lady take over, but I don’t know [about that with Joey].”
