
Jon Stewart will host tonight’s (September 18) episode of The Daily Show despite usually only hosting Monday nights.
Typically, The Daily Show rotates its correspondents from Tuesday through Thursday. Jon will take over for Desi Lydic for this special airing, reports Variety.

The news comes after ABC indefinitely pulled late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air in the wake of the host’s comments on Charlie Kirk‘s death.
Given that The Daily Show host previously criticized Paramount over the company’s decision to cancel The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, it seems likely he will have something to say about Jimmy Kimmel‘s situation as well.
Jon will be joined by 2021 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Maria Ressa for tonight’s episode. She also happens to be a Columbia University professor known for writing the book How to Stand Up to a Dictator.
The episode will air at 11 p.m. ET on Comedy Central.
