Fans of the Camp Rock franchise have been buzzing with excitement over the possibility of Camp Rock 3. Well, it’s official—it’s happening!
The speculation started after Demi Lovato joined the Jonas Brothers in New Jersey during the opening night of their Greetings from My Hometown tour back in August. Since then, fans have been eagerly looking for more signs, and the brothers have today given another clear hint that the third installment is finally on its way.
In an Instagram post on the Jonas Brothers’ official account, the trio lip-synced to one of their most iconic scenes from the original Camp Rock film. The lens then quickly panned to the legendary red and yellow Camp Rock logo displayed on a boardwalk, teasing fans that the beloved franchise is gearing up for its next chapter.
The band captioned their playful video, “Good morning campers.” Joe Jonas, who makes up one-third of the band, including Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas, later shared a second video as well.
Adding to the excitement, the famous brothers were recently spotted by eagle-eyed fans at Barnet Marine Park in Burnaby, Vancouver.
The city of Burnaby confirmed, “Bear Claw Productions Ltd will be filming at the picnic area of Barnet Marine Park from August 18 to October 27. During this period, visitors may experience temporary disruptions or restricted access in certain areas of the park.”
Fans simply can’t contain their excitement over the news that the Jonas Brothers are returning to the big screen. Social media quickly lit up with nostalgia and enthusiasm. One commenter wrote, “MY ENTIRE CHILDHOOD!!! So excited for Camp Rock 3 ❤️.” Another added, “This is so iconic I wanna scream and cry.”
Just last night during an interview with Andy Cohen on series What Happens Live, Lovato remained mostly tight-lipped about the rumored reunion when asked about the film.
“And is Camp Rock 3 happening? Um, you know, I saw that Joe said something and I’m really excited for the new generation to take the lead, and yeah, you’ll just have to wait and see.”
Many fans are eagerly awaiting further announcements on the cast, storyline, and release date, hoping the new installment will capture the same magic as the original. Here’s hoping the ‘Skyscraper’ singer will also join in on the nostalgic fun!
