Jordin Sparks brought 80s nostalgia with a reunion show with Big Time Rush, a moment for Instagram accompanied by a b&w picture of Jordin standing gleefully among the boys, practically glowing with joy after “2 full hours of nonstop energy and talent,” as she put it. With the wooden interior setting and casual vibe being perfect tell-tales of the laid-back vibe, at the very least, the energy was the opposite.

Grinning with glee, she shared that the waves of love were almost too much for her to contain, “Words cannot express how much love I felt,” then teasing them with a snippet of lyrics from the classic anthem they all did together: “1, 2, 3, 4 to the 5…baby I’m counting on you…” The collective sharp intake of breath from anyone who was raised on this song is audible.
Comments ranged from heartfelt “throwbacks” to pleading for more shows, in every single form imaginable. One fan deemed the entire show and setlist “iconic” and declared that they were honored to movie it from barricade. Simultaneously in their own voice, another user gave anybody with recollections of that song the ultimate rewind: “today this brings back memory 😭😭 I almost forgot that the song that you guys did with Jordin Sparks was my favorite song.” Same here.
International fans chimed in. One Spanish-speaking fan commented, “Thank you for fulfilling our dream 🥹❤️ Puedes repetirlo en Latinoamérica cuando tú quieras!” In the meantime, a fellow fan cried: “Germany deserves some sparks too✨❤️ please🙏🏼.” Expectations are HIGH.
That sort of request is worthy of plotting strategies. Another suggested the ultimate tour plan: “Next tour Jordin should be there for an opening act. Then come back mid concert to do this song with y’all ❤️.” Someone hand him a job in event planning.
It just so happened that the unrepentant “still on repeat” kind communally descended upon yet another throwback occasion. “Every time I play this song it’s on repeat I love this song 😍🔥❤️,” one follower gushed, while the other replied, “Still On Repeat To Til Day !” No explanation needed.
From here, the memory lane leads straight to Nickelodeon days, with one user reminiscing about the show: “I remember that exact episode vividly! 🥹🥰” While the other swooned, “This was the best surprise, i have wanted to hear this collab live since i saw it on the show, you sounded absolutely mesmerizing.”
From worldwide-wobble-tour requests to ocean-deep flashbacks, Death and Big Time Rush have activated every core memory of this generation. And even from the comments, a bedspread-style reunification tour wouldn’t be amiss. Throwing it out there.

The energy flowing from this collab, whether amongst each other or through comment forums, builds in concrete the fact some songs, some friendships, simply never age. Either through shared past or amplified chemistry, this show was more than just a gig moment — it was a time capsule. And judging by the reaction? We are all still completely stuck in 2010, and loving it.
