The Chrisleys have made their television return with a new show, aptly titled The Chrisleys: Back to Reality. immediately, Julie Chrisley is opening up about the long-standing rumors that her husband, Todd Chrisley, is a closeted gay man. Additionally, he’s revealing where the family stands regarding politics.
Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were released from prison on May 28 after serving 28 months. Their release came due to a full presidential pardon. immediately, their new show details what life was like for their family during their incarceration as well as their release.
Julie addressed the rumors about her husband’s sexuality in a recent episode of their new Lifetime series. Per Page Six, she said, “I know who I’m married to.” She continued, “At the end of the day, OK. You can think whatever you want of him because he knows who he is.”
This comes years after Todd’s former business partner, Mark Braddock, claimed the two had a sexual relationship. Todd said, “It’s important to understand that in the position that we’re in, scandal sells.” He went on to say that the business partner is the “only one” to make this allegation against him. Todd has previously denied the rumors on multiple occasions.
The Chrisleys also recently appeared on Nightline for an interview. They were asked how they would respond to a fan who said they couldn’t support them over their political ties.

Todd responded, “I don’t think that viewer really ever knew us.” He then explained their political leanings by saying, “Our family has always been very socially liberal and fiscally conservative. I don’t agree with everything that any president does, or congressman, or senator, reality star, whatever.”
He continued, “People are going to like this comment or not.” Still, he does have gratitude for Donald Trump following the full pardon. “I can sit here, because I have been pardoned, and say that I love President Donald J. Trump because he gave me my family back,” Todd said.
He also spoke about how their sentence impacted the whole family. According to him, “When one of your family members goes to prison, you all go to prison. When we were sentenced, she [Savannah] was sentenced, Grayson, Chloe, my mother, her parents, Chase, they all received a sentence in a certain way.” He went on to say this is why they’re fighting for prison reform.
