The Live Aid musical Just For One Day has announced one final extension in addition to its West End closing date.
The production, currently playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre, will close on February 7, 2026, ahead of a scheduled period of refurbishment at the theatre.
Written by John O’Farrell and directed by Luke Sheppard, Just For One Day tells the story of the iconic Live Aid concerts which happened simultaneously in London and Philadelphia in 1985. Led by Bob Geldof, the concerts were a huge moment in history, with over 70 artists performing for free, raising $127 million for famine relief.
The jukebox musical features the songs of Bob Dylan, David Bowie, The Who, U2, Queen, The Police, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Status Quo, Paul Weller, The Boomtown Rats, Bryan Adams, Diana Ross, Ultravox and more.
Marking 40 years since the iconic concerts, 10% from the sale of all theatre tickets are donated directly to The Band Aid Charitable Trust. To date, more than £1.2 million has been raised by the musical.
Just For One Day received its premiere at The Old Vic in 2024 and was nominated for an Olivier Award. It later went to Toronto, before opening at the Shaftesbury Theatre in May 2025.
Tickets for the remaining dates are available here.
