Katt Williams’ interview with Shannon Sharpe was the biggest interview of 2024 and made Club Shay Shay one of the most sought-after platforms of the year… but Williams says he’s done with that level of exposure.
Speaking on the Sherri Shepherd Show, he was asked whether he felt that podcast appearances were “important.”
“No, ma’am, not precisely because I’m not a fan of my voice. Like, I don’t like to hear myself talk but because of the Shannon Sharpe thing, I decided that I was only gonna speak maybe six more times and let that speak for me for the duration,” he responded.
Williams continued, “I was able to pick wonderful people to go and talk to, and their fan bases are our fan base, and it’s just such a great time to be an American and to enjoy freedom of speech and to be able to have that as your livelihood.”
During the interview, Williams called out several people in the entertainment industry, which led to several viral moments. The interview has racked up over 90 million views on YouTube.
