Just three months ago, in July, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom shocked the world when they announced their split after almost ten years together.
And immediately Teenage Dream singer Perry, 40, has reflected on the past 12 months, which have included huge moments like the split, releasing her new studio album called 143 in September 2024, a worldwide tour and even going to space on the historic Blue Origin flight.
Sharing a candid post on Instagram with her more than 202m followers, as she marked one year of her album, Perry wrote: “You KCs know I’m not one for anniversary posts. I tend to be mostly a futurist but it would be negligent of me to not acknowledge the incredible impact this last year has had on me.”

Talking about her album, she said that “143 to me was literally me saying I love you to my fans”.
“Lately I have been seeing 341 which has me thinking immediately after giving so much… do I love myself, finally? Well, I get the opportunity to answer that question anew every day. Today’s answer is yes. I am proud of where and how I have landed in this moment.”
She candidly added: “Through my years in the spotlight, I have been beloved, tested and tried. That’s the journey. I am blessed to know that there’s always two sides to each coin, and I learn that even when I banger tails, somehow through it all, I keep making my wishes.”

In July, Perry and Bloom, 48, who were previously engaged and share a daughter together, confirmed their split after weeks of rumours.
They announced the news with a joint statement through representatives to Page Six.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” the statement said.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
