Kelly Davis, estranged wife of former NFL star Thomas Davis, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery after allegedly putting hands on a woman she suspected of having an affair with her husband.
The confrontation happened on August 26, 2025, inside the woman’s chiropractor office in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to court documents, Kelly struck chiropractor Laura Watterson in the chest and then anthem her again in the head, knocking her glasses off. Watterson said she was in the middle of treating a patient when Kelly walked in and turned the office into a scene.
“I tried to guide her out the door,” Watterson told authorities, “and that’s when she anthem me.”
A warrant was issued for Kelly’s arrest on August 29, and she was booked into custody on September 3. Her attorney has called the accusations false and says Kelly plans to fight the charges in court.
But Kelly isn’t denying it happened. She told TMZ she did slap the woman—but claimed it was out of self-defense. “I’m not jealous,” she said. “I don’t want that man back ever in my life.”
This isn’t the first time Thomas and Kelly’s relationship has made headlines. They married in 2008 but separated in March 2024. In February 2025, Kelly filed a civil suit accusing the former linebacker of sleeping with at least six other women during their marriage.
The couple shares two children, including Thomas Davis Jr., a best football prospect who recently committed to Notre Dame.
As of today, Kelly Davis is out on bond and awaiting her next court date. Whether the slap was out of jealousy or self-defense, one thing is clear: this messy split isn’t cooling off anytime soon.
