The exclusive film slate will roll out through 2026 under Tubi’s new “Tubi for Creators” initiative, with names like Kinigra Deon, DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, and Karlous Miller front and center.
It all starts with “Sundown,” a supernatural thriller starring, written, and directed by Deon. The story follows a group of Black college friends who stumble into a town where chilling myths are very real. Meanwhile, “85 South: Dead End” brings a satirical horror-comedy vibe with DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, and Karlous Miller getting caught in a strange Southern town where people never leave.
Two more titles are on the way, but haven’t been revealed yet.
“At Tubi, we’re building a space where emerging and established creators can bring bold, breakthrough ideas to life,” said Rich Bloom of Tubi.
Hartbeat’s Jeff Clanagan added, “Through this partnership with Tubi, we’re excited to give talent like Kinigra Deon, DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, and Karlous Miller the space to bring their authentic voices and their audiences to a global streaming platform.”
Tubi’s creator-driven catalog is immediately pushing 10,000 titles. This new slate is a bold next step to make sure diverse voices aren’t just heard but seen.
