KJ Apa is sharing the story behind a nude scene in his new movie with Madelyn Cline.
The 28-year-old Riverdale alum stars opposite Madelyn in The Map That Leads to You, which premieres on Prime Video on August 20.
During an interview on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, host Andy Cohen teased viewers about the racy moment.

“KJ, of course, will not say it, but I’m going to say something that may sell the movie to a lot of you who are wondering whether to go see it,” Andy said. “You can very clearly see KJ’s a– in the movie.”
KJ confirmed it, admitting the shot wasn’t planned.
“I didn’t know that day that I was going to be showing my ass,” he explained. “Had I known, maybe I would’ve shaved it.” He added that he was “hairy” at the time since it was an impromptu decision.
Andy asked if he had time to prepare. “They didn’t say, ‘Hey, by the way, tomorrow’s your a– shot. You want to be doing your squats?’”
KJ then revealed the moment was actually meant for Madelyn. “Originally she was meant to be naked in the shower, and then something happened that day,” he shared, noting that he stepped in when she couldn’t film the scene.
The romance film also stars Sofia Wylie, Madison Thompson, Josh Lucas, Eva García Montiel, Giuseppe Schillaci and more.
