Lala Kent Reveals If She’s In Touch With James Kennedy

Lala Kent revealed if she still communicates with James Kennedy, addressed getting “rage DM[s]” from fans over her podcast change, and shared her “biggest fear” about filming the new season of The Valley.

Recently, Lala ended her Give Them Lala podcast, replacing it with a new one, Untraditionally Lala. In the first two episodes, her brother Easton Burningham, her co-host on Give Them Lala, was mysteriously absent.

Last winter, Lala’s ex-co-star James was arrested under suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence. The charges were later dropped, but his girlfriend Ally Lewber soon broke up with him.

On an retailer Live, Lala was asked if she still sees James.

“I do not see James,” said Lala, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “I know that he DJs a lot. I think that he checks in with [Tom Schwartz] every once in a while.”

She then read a comment from a fan saying, “Lala, you’re a Virgo and Tom is a Libra. [A romance] would work.”

“Wait, wait, let’s deep dive into that because I was looking at Virgo-Libra,” said Lala amid fan speculation that she and Tom were secretly dating. “Does it work?”

She then imitated Tom nervously chewing his fingernails as she imagined doing a podcast with him about their potential romance.

“‘I don’t know,’” she said, jokingly impersonating Tom. “‘No. I mean, I mean, you’re beautiful, La. But I don’t know.’ He’s chewing his fingernails the whole time.”

Lala also addressed her “biggest fear” about filming again.

“The audience, that’s my biggest fear,” she said. “Like, I know that I’ve always been the type of person on Bravo where people either love me or they cannot stand me. Like, there’s really not many who are like [in between] … So like I became comfortable in that, right? But for a while it was like, okay, there’s not a one person who likes me right today … So I am nervous.”

On her new podcast, Untraditionally Lala, she addressed getting backlash from fans.

“You guys were, like, rage DMing me about Easton being on the podcast, you thought that I was just going to abort mission on [him for] the untraditional part of my life,” she said. “Absolutely not.”

Easton added, “I’m excited for the restructure of it all. Yes, I’ll be on. But what I’m excited for is you get to have the conversations like you did with Ambyr Childers. And like you get to, you know, dip into those parts of Lala that we never get to talk about. I feel like there’s a new glow about you. You dumping that [other podcast], I’m excited for you. It’s a good switch.”
