Key national races include the New York mayor’s race, the Virginia and New Jersey governor’s races, and California Proposition 50, a statewide ballot measure championed by Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom that would enact a new congressional map that could flip as many as five Republican-led U.S. House seats to Democratic control.
