Malin Akerman has confirmed that she’s wearing a wig for her role as Margo Banks on the new series The Hunting Wives, which is streaming on Netflix.
The 47-year-old actress has told a surprising story about the wig and how she ended up with that specific one.
Malin was originally supposed to wear a different wig after going through a whole process to create a custom look.

“I had a wig fitting in L.A.,” Malin said on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “Then they go off and they make a wig that is sized for my head.”
Malin said that the wig didn’t end up being “quite the color or the shape that we had talked about,” though it fit perfectly.
“The poor hair lady’s freaking out. And she’s pulling out her box of wigs, and she’s like, ‘What about this one?’” Malin said. “That ended up being the wig that we had to go with because we had no time to make a new one. It was a wig in a box.”
Malin has opened up about the famous person who inspired her character.
