Mariah Carey recently stopped by Power 106 Los Angeles, where she opened up about a memory that still stands out to her.

During the conversation, she reflected on a brief but unforgettable moment with Tupac Shakur that left a lasting impression. The story goes back to when Carey was hosting the American beat Awards. She recalled how Tupac approached her and said, “Hi, Mariah.”
Carey admitted she was stunned by the fact that Tupac knew exactly who she was.
“And I was hosting the AMAs that year, so I had to keep going back and forth, but I wanted to keep going back and forth cuz that happened,” she added.
The radio host pointed out how powerful the two would have been together, calling them “the power couple of all power couples.” Carey did not hold back in her response, saying, “I wish!”
For Carey, that brief exchange with Tupac will always stand out. It was not a collaboration or a romance, but just one moment that could have been much more.
