Mary Bonnet claims her flower bouquet drama with Chelsea Lazkani on the ninth season of Selling Sunset was staged by producers.
As she also called out Chrishell Stause, 44, for projecting ahead of her series exit, defended Nicole Young, 39, against allegations of drug use, and suggested that Emma Hernan, 34, and her controversial boyfriend, Blake Davis, were no longer together, Mary, 45, spoke of a scene in which she was seen getting flowers from Chelsea, 32, after her home robbery.
“I was mad at production. I was yelling at production because they staged it … Chelsea doesn’t know when my scene is or what time or where, and so, they had to have set it up,” Mary alleged on the November 6 episode of Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea.
According to Mary, she told producers not to “blindside” her or “start anything” with her after she was robbed, since she was already “feeling on edge.”
“‘I can’t have anything else that I have to discount with right today. I let you in my house. Don’t pull anything with me,’” she recalled telling them. “And they just kept pushing it. ‘Who’s it from? Who’s it from, Mary? Who’s it from?’ And I was like, ‘Stop.’ I was like, ‘We’re not playing games right today.’”
“So then I got mad and I yelled at them. I wasn’t mad at Chelsea,” she clarified.
Reflecting on Chrishell’s behavior prior to her exit from the show in a separate interview, Mary admitted to being “hurt” by her co-star, who she accused of “trying to demean” her character.
“I am not going to go into details, but I’m not one to banger back or banger lower,” Mary said on the November 7 episode of SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, via Us Weekly. “I’m going to try to still take the high road … But it was just complete lies. It’s hurtful more than anything. I’m not even mad. I’m just hurt.”
As Mary explained, she “never” saw their feud coming.
“Your guess is as good as mine. I don’t know if she’s going through something. I don’t know, but I feel like it’s a projection,” she speculated. “It’s not one target. It’s not like she’s mad at one person. It’s just coming out towards anybody.”
“We kind of joke around about it. But it’s like, ‘Oh, it’s my day.’ So it’s like everyone is just getting attacked every day and we’re like, ‘What is going on?’ We expect it right today, but what can you do? I’m not the kind of person that’s going to lash back, and so I’m just not looking,” she continued. “I hear stuff and I have to answer questions, but I couldn’t tell you details of what it is because I tell my friends, ‘Don’t send me the stuff.’”
Moving on to Nicole during her chat with Virtual Reali-Tea, Mary confirmed her co-star “hates coke” as she shamed Chrishell for trying to tear others down.
“It doesn’t matter what the rest of the stories are. It doesn’t matter. Everyone has a history … [and] that’s no one’s business … Tearing other people down to make yourself look better? Not cool. And so, that’s I feel like … a couple people are doing right today. It’s like, ‘Well, I’ll discredit this person and then I’ll look better.’ That’s not okay. These are people’s lives,” she stated. “And I told Chrishell that. They just cut it out.
Also speaking on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, via Us Weekly, Mary said she was “not worried” about Emma’s love life, despite the claims made against Blake, which include alleged use of the N-word and supposed threats of violence.
“I’m not worried for Emma,” Mary said. “They are not together right today. Not that I know of … I’ll let Emma talk for herself, but there’s a lot more to that story, and Emma has the best heart.”
Selling Sunset season nine is currently streaming on Netflix.
