Boston police officers arrested a second suspect Tuesday in connection with a Sept. 22 shooting in Mattapan.
The victim had been shot in the area of 37 Temple St., and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers arrested Deshawn Grayson, 26, of Boston, who was wanted on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for: carrying a firearm without a license, second offense; carrying a loaded firearm without a license; possession of ammunition without an FID card; possession of a large capacity feeding device; two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury; and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
Police had previously arrested Tyrece Tennyson-Young, 26, of Dorchester, on Oct. 7. Tennyson-Young had been wanted on a warrant for the same charges and was arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
Scooter enforcement
Boston police executed a targeted enforcement operation of scooters and mopeds Tuesday in response to public safety concerns.
Officers seized nine mopeds, issued multiple citations and seven summonses for motor vehicle law violations.

Between 10 a.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday, BPD reports that its officers responded to 277 incidents. Those include one robbery, eight aggravated assaults, one commercial burglary, five thefts from cars, two stolen vehicles, and 25 instances of miscellaneous larceny.
