
Three people were rushed to the hospital following an early-morning crash that closed part of Interstate 93 in Medford, Massachusetts, on Sunday.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said just after 8 a.m. that I-93 southbound was closed at Exit 22 due to a crash, and traffic was being detoured via Exit 23.
State police confirm troopers responded around 5:50 a.m. to the crash where one person had been thrown from a vehicle. The person was not conscious or responsive, according to police.
Medford Fire and EMS were on scene. Police said in total three people were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. Details on everyone’s injuries weren’t immediately available, and it’s unclear if more than one vehicle was involved.
State police said their collision analysis reconstruction and crime scene services sections were advised.
