The 76-year-old actress was unfortunately unable to make it to her Only Murders in the Building co-star’s big day on Saturday (September 27), despite rumored boyfriend and co-star Martin Short attending.

On the same day of the nuptials in California, Meryl was actually working in Italy while filming for the upcoming The Devil Wears Prada sequel.
Meryl, as Miranda Priestly, was spotted sitting front row at the Dolce&Gabbana fashion show at Milan Fashion Week, alongside co-star Stanley Tucci, as well as Naomi Campbell and Michele Morrone. Simone Ashley, rumored to be playing Miranda’s assistant, was also in attendance, sitting in the second row just behind Meryl.
The actress was even seen meeting up with Vogue‘s former Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, who is said to be the inspiration behind her character.
