After a mild start to the month, Met Eireann has predicted that temperatures will be cooling down as the country is set for heavy rain, spot flooding, blustery winds and more
It will be an unsettled week ahead as Met Eireann have predicted fog, spot flooding, thundery spells, blustery winds and more in the coming days.
After a mild start to November, the national forecast is also expecting temperatures to fall.
In their overview for the days ahead, Met Eireann wrote: “Continuing unsettled with further spells of rain or showers but some drier sunny spells too. Generally relatively mild for the time of year, and while it’ll be somewhat cooler at first with temperatures closer to average, there’s little danger of frost.”
Here’s everything you need to know about the weather forecast for the next few days.
Saturday 8th November
Tonight will be wet and breezy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, possibly heavy at times. Clear spells and scattered showers will develop in western counties by morning. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees with moderate to fresh southerly winds, becoming lighter overnight.

Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in mostly light, occasionally moderate, southeast or variable breezes.

Tuesday 11th November
Tuesday will be a wet and blustery day. The rain will be heavy and persistent with some localised flooding. There’ll be some mist and hill and coastal fog too. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees, in moderate to fresh, occasionally strong, and gusty southeast winds.
There’ll be further spells of rain on Tuesday night, heavy at times, though a clearance to drier weather with clear spells and scattered showers will extend northwards to most parts overnight. Some of the showers will turn heavy in the south. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with the winds generally easing. Some mist and fog patches will develop.
Wednesday 12th November
The mist and fog will clear to leave a mix of cloud and bright or sunny spells, along with some heavy showers, especially in parts of the south and west, some thundery. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.
Thursday 13th November
Thursday will see further showers or longer spells of rain moving northwards, some of that heavy and possibly thundery. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees.
