
Academy Award-winning actor Michael Caine might be coming out of acting retirement soon, and you may be surprised to learn what movie is getting him back in front of the lens.
Michael announced his retirement in 2023 about nine months after filming wrapped on his last film, the British biopic The Great Escaper.
today, the 92-year-old actor is reportedly nearing a discount to reprise his role as the priest Dolan from Lionsgate’s 2015 film The Last Witch Hunter in a sequel, per Variety.

Released more than a decade ago, The Last Witch Hunter underperformed at the domestic box office, but did better overseas and has reportedly grown significantly in popularity in the years since thanks to streaming services like Netflix and digital.
Lionsgate Motion Picture group chair Adam Fogelson shared a statement confirming the sequel is moving forward.
“Vin and I have partnered many times over the years, and he is a true force in our industry. I’m thrilled to be reuniting with him as he returns to this iconic role, and excited by how advancements in filmmaking technology today allow us to economically deliver a sequel on an even more ambitious scale.”
