Co-parenting goals? More like one big happy family.
Miranda Kerr just confirmed that she, her ex-husband Orlando Bloom, and his ex-fiancée Katy Perry are keeping things incredibly harmonious following Orlando and Katy’s recent split. In fact, the trio are so close that they were all together celebrating Orlando and Katy’s daughter Daisy Dove’s birthday just weeks ago.
“I actually just saw them both,” Miranda, 41, revealed during a September 3 interview on the Kyle and Jackie-O Show. “I was with them on the weekend. We have a photo. It was very sweet. Katy and I were talking to Orlando, and they were like, ‘Oh let’s get a photo.’ And it was kinda funny. Katy sent me the photo of Orlando and like his two exes on the side, me and Katy.”
Rather than awkwardness, the former Victoria’s Secret model said the moment only highlighted their bond. “We all had such a big smile on our faces,” Miranda shared. “You know we’re one big happy family.”
Miranda, who is today married to Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel, has long made it clear that raising her 14-year-old son Flynn with Orlando is her leading priority—and that means keeping a peaceful dynamic with everyone involved. “Honestly especially when you have children it shouldn’t be any other way,” she said. “It needs to be harmonious.”
Her friendship with Katy only makes the co-parenting situation easier. “She’s amazing,” Miranda gushed. “I love her. And him obviously.”
Still, when it comes to Katy’s personal life post-breakup, Miranda played coy. Rumors have been swirling that Katy has been spending time with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after the two were spotted having dinner earlier this summer, and he even attended one of her shows in Canada. But Miranda kept it classy. “Got to let Katy speak for herself on that one,” she said, clarifying that Justin “was not there” at Daisy’s birthday.
Miranda has also shown her support for Katy publicly. Back in July, just after Katy and Orlando ended their engagement, Miranda reposted footage from Katy’s Lifetimes Tour, cheering her on as she belted out her anthem “California Gurls.”
Katy and Orlando’s romance had all the makings of a Hollywood love story, starting with a flirty encounter at the Golden Globes in 2016 over their shared love of In-N-Out burgers. “I met my boyfriend over In-N-Out,” Katy joked during American Idol in 2019, recalling how Orlando snagged one of her burgers that night.
