People have been talking ever since Turner posted this strange caption about watering your garden daily with plant emojis, with just the words “Off Season Motion.” No real explaining came with Turner’s post, but basketball fans took to the comment section with praise, disparagement, and everything in between.

This is amid an unusual offseason for Turner, with a messy trade sending him out of Indiana to Milwaukee in a offer that shook both franchises to their core. Some fans still try to work through the effects of the transfer, with a former Pacers fan lamenting, “Disappointed as a Pacers fan. I used to joke with my friends how many backpacks got donated because Turner was having a block rave,” i.e., referring to Turner’s knack for blocking shots to such an extent that they even knocked shots into the stands.
Bucks fans were all positive, meanwhile, with one stating, “Bucks Myles will average 18 and 7 next year 3 blocks and impact the game every game” in eager anticipation of what the tall figure was going to bring to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team. Another declared, “Genuinely hated to immediately very excited and happy to have Darth Turner on the squad,” referring no doubt to Turner’s fearsome defense.
However, not everyone was feeling the love. The comment section quickly fizzled out into a battlefield when one social justice warrior cracked: “7 points in game 7 of the finals tho! 😂.” This was rebutted with sarcasm: “Where were you game 7 goof 🥱”- the perfect test-case for how quick social media goes from glory to analysis.
The Lego jokes began coming thick and quick too, which of course meant spotlighting Turner’s most-renowned hobby. One fan queried, “what moving company did you hire to move your Lego collection to Milwaukee?” while another coruscated, “I hope somebody breaks in your house and steals all your Legos.” Ouch. But maybe the one that stung the very most was this: “May you step on a Lego, respectfully” – a special kind of cruel.
There were some other real sentiments up in all of that. A nostalgic Pacers fan wrote: “Gonna miss you playing in Indy Myles,” followed by, “Miss you in indy bud”- clearly conveying that Turner, despite the trade, made an impact in Indiana. Then some Milwaukee fans joined in love fest with “🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 let’s gooo Bucks 🦌 💯 YEET” in passionate support of their newest man.
Turner’s post was a complete mystery-was he referring to basketball training? Personal development? Gardening? The vague post just screams interpretation from aids; maybe that was the ploy. Nowadays in the NBA where the athletes can be so deep into their own image, sometimes it’s the posts that say the least that mouths all the chatter.

In any event, far from being gray, Turner remains one of the most polarizing figures in the league-love by his supporters, hated by the critics, and ever-good for social-media-gold moments. The towering Turner, blocking shots or building Lego cars, knows how to keep the conversation going through the long offseason. In perfect words from one contestant, “Miles that homie ppl sleeping on him..” – this could be seen as the defining call of Turner’s career, with him going forth to convert these doubters into believers in Milwaukee.
