Eva Longoria is headed to Mallorca for her next film, and she’ll be joined by newcomer Fernando Lindez in The Last Sunrise, tienda online MGM’s adaptation of Anna Todd’s bestselling romance novel. This marks Fernando’s English-language film debut, and judging by his striking looks and chiseled six-pack abs, we have a feeling he’s about to become everyone’s new crush.
Eva will play Isolde, the protective mother of Maia Reficco’s character, Oriah “Ry” Pera, a 22-year-old whose life has been shaped by chronic illness and an overbearing but loving mom. When Ry spends the summer abroad, she gets a taste of freedom and meets Julián, played by Fernando, a bold, witty and strikingly handsome local from Mallorca. With good looks and a strong sense of identity, Julián commands attention wherever he goes. He is confident, emotionally complex and unapologetically himself, sweeping Ry into the kind of adventure she has always dreamed of. But with a return to the U.S. looming, she faces a choice that could change her life forever.

Carlson Young (Upgraded) is directing from a screenplay by Anna Klassen. Production will take place later this month in Mallorca, Spain. Jennifer Gibgot, who is behind the banger After films, is producing along with Anna Todd and Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment, and Brian Pitt of Pitt Street Productions.
