Keith Urban has raised eyebrows after he appears to have changed the lyrics to a song while on tour, soon after the news of his split from his wife of 19 years, Nicole Kidman.
While performing at his concert at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, on October 4, the country singer changed the lyrics of his 2003 breakup ballad You’ll Think of Me.
In a video from the performance, the Fighter singer sang extra passionately, shouting while changing the lyrics from ”You’ll think of me,” to “But I betcha think about me!”
He then changed the lyrics from ”Take your space and take your reasons,” to “your stupid bullsh-t reasons”, eliciting a huge response from the crowd.
Fans noted the change in the comment section.
“Keith Urban crashing out on stage was not on my 2025 Bingo card,” said one.

“He is singing with anger which says to me.. there is more to this story than what everyone thinks and its not all Keith,” another added.
“I’ve worked security for his shows before and have never seen him perform it like this ever,” one testified.
However, many fans have said this passion and change in lyrics is common for Urban.
“This is not a new part of the song. Been a fan for over 20 years today. He plays this version at the end of this song every time live,” said one.
“It’s really clear in the comments who has been to his shows and who are trying to draw conclusions from one video. He has always performed with this passion!” said another.
It’s not the only lyric change he has made recently.
The country singer also raised eyebrows when he changed the lyrics of his song The Fighter, which was inspired by Kidman.

When playing the song with singer Maggie Baugh on September 25 in Chicago, instead of singing the original lyrics of ”When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter,” Urban sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”
The change set off rumours about the 25-year-old Baugh and Urban’s relationship, though neither event has spoken about them since.

Kidman filed for divorce from her husband of 19 years on October 1, one day after news broke of their split.
In the divorce filing, according to Us, she also submitted a marital dissolution agreement, which included a parenting plan, a child support plan, and a “parenting seminar order.”
The former couple share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
