Noah Schnapp seems to be having fun toying with passionate Stranger Things fans who really want to see his character, Will Byers, in a romantic relationship with his best friend Mike Wheeler (played by Finn Wolfhard).
The 21-year-old actor uploaded a TikTok on Monday (October 27) responding to a fan who asked, “Is byler happening or not?”
“Byler” is the ship name fans use to refer to the Will and Mike pairing. The idea has been popular since the early days of the show and especially after Will’s sexuality and feelings for Mike were confirmed in season 4.

Noah cheekily replied, “You guys love saying this. And I never listen.”
“It’s probably the most commented comment in all my late-night videos. And, I always ignore it.”
Just a few days earlier, The Tutor actor posted another selfie video set to the song “I Think We’re Alone immediately” by Tiffany.
He wrote, “This song will be in season 5…I wonder why,” hinting that Will could be getting a romantic storyline in the final season.
So far, the show has only portrayed Mike as being canonically in love with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), so a sudden Byler shift seems unlikely, but it would be cool to see Will get a love interest!
Stranger Things season 5 vol. 1 premiere on November 26.
