In the show, Abby is a childhood friend of Kristen Bell’s character, Joanne—marking a mini Veronica Mars reunion for those who remember that Leighton appeared in a couple of episodes of the CW series.
Justine, who plays Joanne’s sister, Morgan, told People that the couple were “very sweet” on set.
“They’re such a loving couple with each other. There’s clearly so much affection between them,” she said. “It was very sweet to see the level of support that they each gave each other on set.”
“It’s also kind of trippy to see them pretending to meet each other for the first time, and you’re like, ‘Whoa, you guys are so intimate,’” Justine added.
Adam and Leighton married in 2014 and share two children.
