Orry TROLLED for using the word…, fans call his language ‘Disrespectful and…’ [Viral Video]

Social media influencer Orry Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, is in controversy again, this time regarding a social media post which several users termed hurtful and disrespectful to the transgender community. Orry, with his usual flamboyant online persona, humorous captions, and frequent appearances with Bollywood celebrities, shared a video which has immediately invited widespread criticism.

The clip, which he posted on Instagram, showed two actors, reportedly dressed as transgender women, faking a fight on the set of a comedy show. The outrage, however, was over Orry’s caption, in which he used the word ‘chakkas,’ a pejorative term that has been used to insult transgender people. He captioned: “POV: you attended a comedy show and 2 chakkas get into a quarrel behind you.”

He added, “But how can she slap ????.”

The video went viral in no time, but for all the wrong reasons. Many netizens expressed their disappointment, saying that influencers with large followings should be more responsible with their words. One user commented, “This is EMBARRASSING Orry!! Using a slur to derogate an entire community is LOW.” Yet another said, “Making fun of trans women while profiting from queer culture is peak hypocrisy.

Several users then pointed out double standards in Orry’s online persona: He often experiments and tries with gender-fluid fashion and enjoys admiration from queer fans, yet using the slur felt insensitive to many online. Comments such as “You dress up like Sabrina for fun but insult real trans women?” further amplified the backlash.

For those who don’t know, Orhan ‘Orry’ Awatramani is a Mumbai-based socialite and influencer with a degree from the Parsons School of Design in New York. With over a million followers, he is best known for his glamourous lifestyle, high-profile friendships, and quirky moments on social media. So far, Orry has made no statement to answer his critics, yet the online debate about accountability and sensitivity only grows louder.
