Tushar Amrish Goel’s directorial takes a deep dive into the history of the Taj Mahal and questions the mysterious 22 rooms that have been sealed inside the historical monument. Just some time before it was released, The Taj Story was caught up in a huge legal controversy. Two Public Interest Litigations (PILs) were filed against the film, and there were demands of banning it, as well as reviewing its certification. From the very beginning, we made sure there would be no Hindu-Muslim jingoism in this film.”
