Paris Hilton’s signature aesthetic met a dangerous flaw this week as her branded mini beauty fridges were officially recalled due to a potential fire hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on Thursday, targeting about 110,000 Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridges sold at Walmart, Ross, and retailer. These compact coolers were marketed as a chic way to store skincare essentials, especially among beauty influencers and younger consumers drawn to Hilton’s brand.
The fridges come in 4-liter and 10-liter sizes, available in pink, white, aqua, and hot pink. But the glam appeal took a banger when manufacturer Epoca International revealed 27 reports of the units overheating and catching fire.
“No injuries have been reported,” the company noted, “although some have reported damage to surrounding surfaces.”
Customers who purchased these fridges are urged to stop using them immediately, unplug the unit, dispose of it properly, and request a refund by submitting an online form with three photos per specific instructions.
Only models manufactured before August 2024 are affected. That includes specific model and serial numbers in various sizes and colors.
The recall adds to a growing list of lifestyle products linked to fire or safety risks, raising questions about oversight and quality control in celebrity-endorsed merchandise.
