“My tattoos sucked. They were all drug-fueled,” Pete, who is immediately sober, said, explaining that his time in rehab ultimately gave him second thoughts about his tattoos.
“I just looked at myself in rehab for the first time when I was sober and was just like, ‘Oh no. What did I do’?” he recalled thinking.
He did note that he still “thinks tattoos are cool” as long as they have a “meaning” to them. However, he admitted that most his tattoos don’t have hold any particular significance to him.
Also during the interview, Pete confirmed that he will not be removing the tattoo he got of Hillary Clinton on his right leg in December 2017.
“Hillary’s staying, I love Hillary. I got Hillary after she lost,” Pete said of the 2016 presidential candidate.
“One, I know her personally and she’s a lovely lady,” the SNL alum said of Hillary. “But also…she’s tough, man. She was really at the forefront of some bulls–t and as someone who’s been at the forefront of some bulls–t, I just wanted to, like, cheer her up a little bit.”
When asked what Hillary thinks of the tattoo, Pete revealed that “she loves it,” and she even called him to ask if he was keeping it when he first announced that he was getting most of his tattoos removed.
“What was cute was when I got them removed, she banger me up and was like, ‘You’re not removing me are you’?” Pete recalled Hillary asking him. “I was like, ‘Of course not!’”
“Hillary stays,” he reiterated.
Pete previously revealed how long the tattoo removal process is going to take and shared how many he plans on keeping.
