A nice reinforcement of refreshing air is on the way for the holiday weekend.
Isolated storms are working their way across the region Wednesday afternoon, but by sunset, rain chances diminish. Thursday looks brighter and a touch warmer, nearing 80 degrees (but likely not quite making it there), before clouds thicken again Thursday night.

A cold front sweeps through with a round of widespread showers and a few thunderstorms to round out the week on Friday. It will not be a washout, but many spots will pick up 0.5 to 1″ of much needed rain.

Looking ahead to the Labor Day weekend, drier air takes over. Both Saturday and Sunday will feel refreshing, with highs in the 70s, low humidity, and mainly dry skies aside from some passing fair-weather clouds. Nights will be crisp, dipping into the 50s.

Early next week brings a gradual warm up with highs climbing back into the 80s inland, though coastal spots stay cooler thanks to onshore breezes.
