We’re expecting a mixed bag of weather for our Sunday here in Greater Boston. In fact, many of us are stating this day with clouds and sunshine. But later today, have your umbrella handy.
A cold front will slide through the region from the north, giving way to a few spotty showers and a possible rumble of thunder. While we’re not expecting severe weather today, a brief downpour or two cannot be ruled out.

Rain chances in Boston

Unfortunately, the rain we’re tracking won’t eliminate the drought conditions plaguing parts of New England, but we’ll take every drop we can get.
The threat for rain will diminish tonight as the front pushes southeast.
Today’s temperatures
High temperatures will be in the 70s in Boston.
Temperatures for MetroWest could reach the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Low temperatures will drop into the 50s.

Next week
High pressure builds in early next week. That means we’ll see more sunshine and fall-like temperatures.
On Monday, an onshore flow will keep temperatures in Boston closer to the 70s. But away from the water, temperatures will be in the mid 70s.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, highs will rebound into the mid to upper 70s for much of Greater Boston.
On Thursday, temperatures could cool a bit with a threat for rain along the coast. We’ll keep you posted.
