Realtor.com has put out its Hottest Zip Codes of 2025 list and two of the leading five are in Massachusetts and 11 New England communities are in the leading 50.
The company said the report spotlights the U.S. zip codes where buyer interest is strongest and homes are flying off the market.
The ranking is based on market demand and the number of days a listing is active on Realtor.com.
Beverly came in first and Leominster came in third. Three other New England zip codes — Trumbull, Connecticut (#7); Cumberland, Rhode Island (#8); and South Windsor, Connecticut (#9) — cracked the leading 10.
In Beverly, the median listing cost is $746,000 and the median days on the market is 16.

Beverly is a city in Essex County, Massachusetts, (MA) United States. Beverly is a rival of Marblehead for the title of being the birthplace of the U.S. Navy.
“Buyers are drawn by Beverly’s commuter rail access to Boston, its natural beauty, and its blend of small-town charm with big-city convenience,” Realtor.com said. “Its mix of livability, worth, and proximity to Boston solidified its place as the country’s hottest ZIP code of 2025.
“The area’s blend of livability, affordability relative to metro Boston, and speedy-paced sales made it a standout. It also demonstrated how high prices don’t necessarily deter buyers when other factors, like location, lifestyle, and long-term worth, align.”

Realtor.com said the Northeast and Midwest dominated the list while the South and West are not on it for a third year. They added that all of the leading zips in 2025 are suburbs with strong ties to major metro areas and attract homebuyers who want “suburban tranquility without losing job access or infrastructure.”
The company said its hottest zips “lean older and wealthier, drawing buyers with stronger credit profiles and larger down payments than the national norm.”
The typical household income in the hottest zip codes was $114,000, above the national average of $79,000, and the average credit score was 759, versus 748 nationwide, according to the website, while down payments were also higher than the national norm.
