In 2010 and 2011, a number of bodies were found near the remote beach town of Gilgo. Heuermann was charged with murdering the Gilgo Four – Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Lynn Costello, and Maureen Brainard-Barnes – as well as Jessica Taylor, Sandra Costilla, and Valerie Mack, and is heading to trial.
Prime Video plans to tell the “inside story” of the murders.
Brian Volk-Weiss, Cisco Henson, Matt Ochacher, and Phil Donlon will executive produce for Nacelle Company. Cooper will exec produce for Empress Films along with Eben Davidson.

“Sharing the powerful stories of the victims’ families has been both humbling and profoundly moving for everyone involved,” added Lauren Anderson, Head of Brand and Content Innovation, retailer MGM Studios.
