After Rajinikanth’s Coolie (Rs 65 crore) and Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG (Rs 63.75 crore), Kantara: Chapter 1 has already earned the third-highest single-day collection of 2025. Also, it surpassed the previous record-holding opening-day receipts of Saiyaara and Chhaava (Rs 52 crore). The movie, which was released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam, has drawn viewers from all across the nation.

In its first day of release, the movie sold an incredible 1.28 million tickets. Kannada brought in 18 crore, Telugu brought in 12.5 crore, Hindi brought in 19.5 crore, Tamil brought in 5.25 crore, and Malayalam brought in 4.75 crore. The only movies left are KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 1,215 crore) and the original Kantara (Rs 408 crore). Other 2025 blockbusters, like as Ram Charan-Shankar’s Game Changer (Rs 51 crore) and Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR’s War 2 (Rs 52 crore), are still lagging behind in terms of opening-day receipts.
