They met on the set of the Australian film Two Hands, released in 1999. Rose describes the actor as “such a charmer.”
“We were just kids,” she said, “He was a generous guy and such a talent and could have gone so many ways. We were close when we were 18, 19. We did a film together, and it went to Sundance.”

Rose added that “he was such a great example of an musician that he was always getting off at these TV shows when we were starting out, and he was really like, ‘I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to just be a heartthrob.’”
His ability to turn down TV roles and pursue the career he wanted inspired Rose back then.
“At that age, it’s really hard. I didn’t have that confidence to be like, ‘OK, I’ll just not do TV,’ she said. “I’d do anything.”
Heath was “so sweet” throughout their decade of friendship and Rose says he would help her get into auditions.
Heather Graham also recently reflected on the late actor, describing the romantic relationship they had in the early 2000s.
