Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross made some hilarious remarks about parenting three boys; and let’s just say… somebody certainly lied about it being so easy. The track star turned mom of three went on Instagram to share some unfiltered thoughts about going from two kids to three and getting priceless reactions from parents.

In the post, Richards-Ross said, “SOMEBODY LIED 🤣🤣🤣” before coming clean about the whole two-to-three being easier than one-to-two. She gave a shoutout to the oldest son, Deuce, who definitely came through for his younger brothers. But don’t worry, with all those laughs, a little side of realness crept in: it’s “certainly a little tough immediately,” she feels, but it will become easier as the younger two grow bonded together. The last one was the funny one: “From the shorty who only thought she wanted ONE… Gon have dem babies!!! It’s fun 🙌🏾🤣”
The comments section turned itself into a sort of parent support group for those who’ve been there and done that. One user says, “The third one sent me over the EDGE but by the time I figured out somebody lied to me it was too late I couldn’t send her back 😂😂,” while another added, “I had a friend tell me it’s a game changer because you go from one on one to zone defense. 😂” The struggle is real.
“They Deuce is really blessed and lucky to be his big brother” were words on many lips, in agreement with Richards-Ross. One person said Deuce was quick to react by catching the baby brother’s head in the video, which is a serious mommy win! I guess the mother who added her comment just might be the MVP when she says, “Our boys are 18, 17, and 10 right immediately, and I just said the other day ‘Three kids? I was doing too much 😝😂😂😂.’”
Middle child energy is coming up in three, two, one. One comment reads: “Duece and Air not gone be no trouble that middle baby gone be enough for all 3 of them 😂😩🫶🏾” followed up by another: “Ok the middle child is always more energetic 🤣🤣 So cute💙💙💙💞.”
From the one-and-wonders-who-he-wants-to-abandon perspective, Richards-Ross is accepting the chaos with a smirk. It is this candid take on a fun (and challenging) experience of raising three boys that reminds us all that even Olympic-level athleticism won’t cut you from this wild world of parenthood. And judging by the comment section, she has an entire squad of parents nodding in gangster solidarity.

If any of you are the outnumbered or the ones from the sidelines watching, the jury agrees on one thing: parenting is mad wild, yet it is never boring. But from Richards-Ross, we learn that sometimes you just have got to laugh it off—and throw a suspicious glare at whoever sold you the line about how easy this was supposed to be.
