
Sarah Michelle Gellar is clarifying something important about the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer television show.
The 48-year-old actress wants people to know that the upcoming series won’t be a “reboot” of the beloved supernatural teen drama, but a “continuation” that is set within the Buffy universe.

There wasn’t much she could tease yet about what to expect, but she did share that the experience has been “equal parts incredibly thrilling, but also it’s very nerve-wracking.”

On fan expectations, the I Know What You Did Last Summer star says, “People have been asking for this for so many years, but everyone also has an opinion on how it should be done. I’m doing it for the fans, so I hope they love it, but I know that they’ll all have opinions, too.”
Sarah assured loyal viewers that the continuation “was made with a lot of love, and a lot of passion, and a lot of thought behind it.”
