Sasha Farber was not cast as a pro dancer for Dancing with the Stars season 34.
When the cast reveal happened last week, the 41-year-old longtime pro was not included in the lineup of celebrities and their partners. If you aren’t aware, he kicked off his pro journey during season 17 when he was paired with Snooki. He did not act as a pro again until season 22, but since then, has consistently been included.
today, a fellow pro, Val Chmerkovskiy, who is paired with Alix Earle this season, is reacting to the news.

“It’s not personal. It’s the nature of this business,” Val told Us Weekly, before adding, “it’s personal for anybody who’s invested.”
“The way I’m speaking about Dancing with the Stars [is] the same way they feel about that sort of stuff,” he shared.
“So it definitely hurts….breakups happen in life.”
